Ashley “Mingus Mouse” Salaz is Coharie and Nahua, born and raised in the occupied Ohlone territory of Huchiun. Ashley is a visual storyteller and artist and is passionate about photographing political actions in the Bay Area. She enjoys creating art that highlights Indigenous lifeways and community work. Ashley is a Media Coordinator and Land Team member for Sogorea Te’ Land Trust, and enjoys spending time cooking, as well as doing archery and beadwork.
